1. SIN.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”— John 10:10
Every believer has a destiny to fulfill. Heaven expects you to shine and accomplish your God-given purpose here on earth. But destiny is not automatic — there are enemies within and without that seek to hinder, delay, or destroy it.
The number one greatest killer of destiny, however, is SIN. Sin separates us from God, weakens our spiritual strength, and opens the door for the enemy to attack. Sexual sin in particular has destroyed mighty men like Samson, David, and Solomon. What they could not lose in battle, they lost in the lap of immorality.
The thighs of an immoral woman is the beast that kills the best.
Immoral beds are witchcraft altars, and evil baskets where destinies are collected.
Sleeping with someone who is not your spouse is like donating your destiny to witchcraft altars. Many have collected curses through immoral beds.
When you give in to the flesh, you strip away not only your clothes but also the glory and destiny God placed upon your life.
The demon of sexual sin is not intimidated by how many years you’ve been married — whether 8 years, 40 years, or more. It is not afraid of your title — whether CEO, manager, MP, MCA, chief apostle, bishop, pastor, right reverend, major prophet.
Biblical Examples
1. Samson — Lost His Strength and Destiny
Judges 16:4–21
His relationship with Delilah led to compromise, captivity, blindness, and ultimately his death.
2. David — Sin Brought Painful Consequences
2 Samuel 11–12
David’s adultery with Bathsheba brought serious consequences to his family.
3. Solomon — His Heart Turned Away From God
1 Kings 11:1–11
Wrong relationships influenced Solomon. He loved and married many women and this turned his heart away from God.
4. Amnon — Destroyed by Lust
2 Samuel 13:1–19
Amnon allowed lust to control him, and his actions eventually led to his death.
Listen, all victims of sexual sin struggle with prayer and commitment in church
But there is hope: *“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh”* (Galatians 5:16).
Like Joseph, you must flee from sin. Destiny requires discipline.
May God Give you the grace to overcome sin, no destiny killer shall prevail against you, In Jesus’ name Amen.
